Belin

Posted by Fabrik | July 22, 2009

Another fresh installation by the street art artist Belin at Montana Shop&Gallery.

Belin started out painting over ten years ago, and now has a portfolio of enough brick to reconstruct the Twin Towers! His stone canvases can be mostly seen in his home town of Linares, which is a small town in Andalucia Spain. If you ever get the chance go and see for your self! Each street is peppered with a piece of Belin.

Jennifer Taylor’s Hollowsphere

Posted by Fabrik | July 22, 2009

This intricate piece of art is realized by Jennifer Taylor.

Graduating from the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art and following up with a Master in Sculpture at the Royal College of Art in 2007, Taylor mixes materials in an obsessive and labour-intensive detail to evoke crisis, chaos, infinity, and, at the same time, order, with works that often evoke quietness and dreamy freedom.

Jennifer Taylor’s unique world, ‘Hollowsphere’, is an exploration of the human mind and the complex systems that surround us, as well as the ones that we create.

The Book

Isabelle Vaverka – The Book [2009]

“Today there are thousands of possibilities to download literature in a digital form. Nevertheless I regard the book first of all as an object. My goal is to visualize my memories that are purely connected with these objects.”

“I researched the identity of my own books without dealing with their content, but rather focusing on their history and my relation to the objects themselves. All these memories are fixed in a bookshelf that is adapted by a personal collection of literature; research project; June 2009″

From the artist:

Garbagebags and cardboxes are cheap, beautiful, offer a lot of space, are always available, quickly to process, work without electricity and are actually ment for other purposes. Maybe that`s why they trigger my association and by that, develop a special charm, aesthetic and meaning to me…

Everything and Me is the online portfolio by Clemens Behr, an artist actually living in Barcelona. The use of poor materials remember me another great artist like Ovni, Fupete, Neasden Controll Center and Anna Taratiel
