Césare Peeren and Pieter de Jong from the Rotterdam based 2012architecten have developed an uniquemodular multifunctional furniture system named  Cilly using discarded pvc cable reels cylinders have a diameter of 40cm and can be delivered in depths of 40cm and 20cm. Modules are endlessly combinable and fit in every space and can have almost any possible function one can think of.

The partners of 2012 Architecten in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, are making surplus superfluous, reusing everything from I-beams, wood floors, car tires, washing machines, stainless steel sinks and even windmill blades as building materials in their creations. 2012 Architecten’s work suggests not only a new kind of aesthetic and functionality in sustainable architecture, but also a new approach to design.

Italian designer Paolo Ferrari spends a lot of time in junkyards. His company, 959 transforms seat belts salvaged from junked cars into a line of handbags. Paolo designed the bags to use as much of the seat belt fabric and hardware as possible.

Surf’s Up! But with less fun, fun, fun in the dirty oceans and on the beaches of today. To bring some attention to this ocean pollution, and to show how very disgusting this stuff really is, the Surfrider Foundation teamed up with advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi LA and created ‘Catch of the Day’.

In superuse you will find many many interesting proposals and  links focused on recycling materials.. !!!
